Sometimes I talk a LOT, and sometimes I am kinda quiet. Hard to believe, I know. Me? Quiet? Never. But please believe… if there is a microphone, I’m talking. For this podcast with Scott Hanselman, I TALKED, ok? He asked me all about the things that I care about the most – family, coding, and getting things done – so I had a lot to say.
Scott Hanselman is a developer (30 years!), blogger (20 years!), teacher, author, international speaker, podcaster (17 years!), YouTuber, and TikTok personality who works in Open Source on .NET and the Azure Cloud for Microsoft. He talks about technology, culture, gadgets, diversity, code, and the web, and is “excited about community, social equity, media, entrepreneurship and above all, the open web.” I was so honored to be a guest on his podcast, and join so many amazing entrepreneurs and tech greats. My episode is number 857.
He’s been doing this longer than I’ve been alive, so of course it was a great experience – super professional. When I start my podcast, I’ll be watching and listening to his shows for tips on making my show great.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share how I made my course on DIY.org, how I got started in coding, why I love teaching kids to code, how I stay organized, and where my drive to be an entrepreneur comes from.
