If you have been following me on Instagram, you have seen my posts in my stories about Computer Science Education Week a.k.a. #CSEdWeek. This is the week that schools all over the world focus on computer science education.
Each year, the Computer Science Teacher’s Association chooses computer science heroes.
“Impacts of Computing” refers to computer science’s positive and negative effects on various aspects of our lives. We recognize those whose work has contributed and harnessed the good in computer science while encouraging classroom discussion and debate around the nuances of both intended and unintended impacts.

There are so many resources from Hour of Code, Microsoft, VEX Robotics, Computer Science Teachers Association, Code.org, and on each CS Hero‘s page that will help you celebrate #CSEdWeek.
This year, I am one of the #CSHeroes! Teachers will use our profiles to complete activities that will inspire kids to embrace computer science.
