Hey Lemonerds! 🍋✨ It’s been way too long, but guess who’s back on YouTube with some super exciting news? I’m back in action after what feels like a million years. I’ve been hard at work crafting something special just for you, and today, I’m excited to introduce my latest creation: Santa’s Workshop: Gift Rush!
I’ve become really good at this game – I’m pretty sure that I’ve become addicted to my own game, which I consider a very big sign of success. If you find your own game entertaining, chances are, other people will too. If you can’t stop playing it, that means you did a good job. One of my favorite games is a bookstore game that I made. I’m such a nerd, and I was like, “Oh my gosh! What if I could have my own bookstore?!” Weird, I know. But weird is cool. And in Scratch – I CAN have my own bookstore, if I make it – so I did!
🎮 Santa’s Workshop Gift Rush: Unwrapping the Joy!
My new Santa’s Workshop Gift Rush is all about the magic of the season, where you become Santa’s little helper, racing against time to wrap as many presents as possible before they fall into the collection bin.
How to Play: Select the gift that is falling. Use the up, down, left, and right arrows in that order to wrap the gift. Use the b to add a bow. You have to do this before the gift falls into the collection bin marked “presents.”
🎁 The Objective: Wrap, Wrap, Wrap!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to use the arrow keys on your keyboard to wrap those presents like a pro. The challenge intensifies as the gifts fall faster and faster. Can you keep up with the holiday hustle?
👩💻 Behind the Scenes: Coding Magic on Scratch!
Creating Santa’s Workshop: Gift Rush was a blast! I enjoyed bringing this fun game to life. There were some challenges that we worked through together LIVE during the tutorial, but we got it done, worked out the bugs, and saw Santa’s Workshop materialize on the screen.
I’ve put together a step-by-step tutorial on my YouTube channel where I guide you through the entire process of building Santa’s Workshop Gift Rush. From setting up sprites to coding the game mechanics, I’ve got you covered.

🎁 Let the Gift Rush Begin!
Santa’s Workshop Gift Rush isn’t just a game; it’s an experience. Head over to Scratch.mit.edu, where I’ve uploaded the game template along with all the necessary files. Try the template and make it yourself or remix it. Make sure to share what you make with me on Scratch.
🚫 Not Mobile-Friendly: Arrow Keys Required!
Santa’s Workshop Gift Rush won’t work on your mobile screens, but don’t worry! If you have a laptop you can use the arrow keys there.
I’m so happy to be back, doing what I love, and sharing it with all of you. Whether you’re a coding OG or just starting out, join me! Beginners are always welcome.
