I had a lot of reasons to get vaccinated as a teenager, and I talked about them in this vlog. This is not intended to be medical advice, and you should talk to your doctor and your parents before you get the vaccine.
Which COVID-19 vaccine can teenagers get?
I got the Pfizer vaccine that was given emergency use authorization by the CDC for ages 12 and up.
How do you get an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine as a teen?
My mother made an appointment for me at a city mass vaccination site for the first does, and at a county site for the second dose. You can go online to find out where you can get vaccinated. There are a lot of pharmacies doing them, and you can even get vaccinated at some Wal-mart locations. In most places, you need permission from a parent, and they need to be there to sign for you.
What side effects did you have from the coronavirus vaccine?
- Fatigue
- Itchy arm
- Sore arm
- Random aches and pains
How long did your symptoms last?
After the first shot, I felt fine after about 2 days, and after the second shot, I felt fine after a day. So far, I have had no allergic reactions and no other side effects.
